Terms of use
Last revised: 2026-09-06
Draft text: the controller details in brackets are still to be filled in.
These terms govern the use of vita (https://vita.macarryon.com), a service by [Nombre o razón social del responsable] ([NIF], [Dirección postal]). By creating an account you accept them. If you disagree with something, do not use the service; if you have questions, write to hola@macarryon.com.
1. What vita is
An app to log and plan training, nutrition and recovery: an exercise library, load progression, a food diary with a food catalogue, measurements and progress photos, sleep and energy, an AI coach and, optionally, a connection to a professional (trainer or nutritionist) who coaches you.
2. Not medical advice
vita is not a medical service and does not replace a healthcare professional. Plans, targets, calorie calculations, AI coach suggestions and any other content are general guidance based on what you log, not a diagnosis or a treatment. Before starting a training programme or changing your diet, and always if you have an illness, an injury, are pregnant or take medication, consult your doctor. If something hurts or you feel unwell, stop.
AI features can be wrong: a photo can be misread, a calculation may not fit you. Use them as help, not as truth.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- The data you enter must be yours and truthful. You are responsible for what happens with your account and for keeping your password safe.
- One person, one account. You can delete it at any time from Settings; everything in it is erased (see the privacy policy regarding backups).
4. Professionals
Trainer and nutritionist accounts are created by direct agreement with us. A professional accesses their clients' data only with those clients' consent, and is responsible for what they do with it and for the advice they give, which is theirs, not vita's.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use vita to access other people's data, overload the service, bypass security measures, upload illegal or offensive content, or resell the service. We may suspend an account that does.
6. Your content
What you log (data, photos, recipes, messages) is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service. We use it for nothing else and do not hand it to third parties beyond what the privacy policy describes.
The food catalogue includes data from Open Food Facts (ODbL licence) and from USDA FoodData Central (public domain); the exercise library comes from open sources detailed in the app itself. That data may contain errors made by its authors: check the product label when it matters.
7. Availability and changes
vita is an evolving service. We may change features, perform maintenance or interrupt it temporarily. We make daily backups and verify them, but we do not guarantee continuous availability or indefinite retention of data: export what you do not want to lose. If we ever decided to shut the service down, we would give at least 30 days' notice so you can take your data with you.
8. Price
vita is free today. If part of it ever became paid, we would tell you beforehand and nothing you already use would be charged without your express acceptance.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages resulting from following a plan or a suggestion without proper supervision, from errors in third-party catalogue data, or from service interruptions. None of this limits your rights as a consumer.
10. Law and jurisdiction
Spanish law applies. For any dispute, the courts of the user's domicile if the user is a consumer; otherwise, those of our registered address. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change them in a relevant way, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use vita afterwards means accepting the new version. The date of the last revision is at the top of this page.
